Dr. Geanina Anghel Joins the Northeast Digestive Team
Dr. Geanina Anghel, a board-certified physician specializing in gastroenterology and inflammatory bowel disease, has joined Northeast Digestive Health Center.
Previously, Dr. Anghel was a faculty attending physician at the Allegheny Center for Digestive Health in Pittsburgh, Pa., where she also served as clinical director for the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center. She completed her gastroenterology fellowship and internal medicine residency through Drexel University and Allegheny General Hospital. Her advanced inflammatory bowel disease training came from the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Additionally, Dr. Anghel is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine, certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates and a board member of the American Gastroenterological Association.

Originally from Romania, Dr. Anghel completed the doctorate program at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Târgu Mureş, followed by an internal medicine residency at General Hospital of Bucharest.
