Dr. M. Benjamin Russell received his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering at Duke University and then returned to Duke School of Medicine to complete his medical school training. From there he completed his internal medicine residency at Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, CT and his gastroenterology fellowship at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. He is board certified in both internal medicine as well as gastroenterology. He joined Northeast Digestive in 2021.
Dr. Russell is passionate towards helping his patients and is committed to providing comprehensive gastrointestinal care. He helps patients recover from a wide range of digestive symptoms and conditions including Crohn’s, ulcerative colitis, Celiac, diarrhea, constipation, hemorrhoids, reflux disease, swallowing disorders, abdominal pain, liver disease, issues pertaining to the pancreas and gallbladder, and much more.
Dr. Russell is a native of Durham, NC and is happy to be caring for patients in his home state. He is married and has three boys. He enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking, and exploring new places.
