I realized that I wanted to go into the medical profession when I was in middle school. My grandfather had been diagnosed with cancer and his team of doctors that helped him get through that difficult time definitely had a lasting impact on me. They were the true superheroes that led me to a career in medicine. I hope to have a similar effect on the patients I care for as well.
The food scene really excites me. I hope that once the COVID-19 pandemic dies down I can start exploring all that the city of Charlotte and its surroundings has to offer.
Kobe Bryant, my favorite basketball player, has a mantra called “Mamba Mentality” which is the constant quest to be the best version of one’s self. I go by this every day. There is always something you can do better and you can never be satisfied in just making it.
Italy comes to mind right away. I have been there twice and would love to go back again. The food, scenery, history and culture constantly inspire me.
My two young daughters definitely keep me on my feet. It’s so exciting to see them grow up!
I get an opportunity to see patients in the office or hospital setting and offer therapeutic procedures that can have a lasting impact on their life. This ability to help patients both medically and endoscopically motivates me to come to work every day.
