Shiva Poola, M.D.

Dr. Poola is a board-certified gastroenterologist with advanced training in gastroenterology and endoscopy. He completed an Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center. Prior to that, he served as Chief Gastroenterology Fellow at ECU Health Medical Center and the ECU Brody School of Medicine, where he also completed his gastroenterology fellowship and a combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency.

Dr. Poola graduated summa cum laude and received his Doctor of Medicine from the American University of Antigua. Throughout his career, Dr. Poola has been recognized with multiple academic honors, including an ACG Presidential Award.

Dr. Poola has a special interest in pancreatobiliary disease, advanced endoscopic mucosal resection, and therapeutic endoscopy. He is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered digestive care.
